In January 2001, we were revving up for the arrival of our second child, navigating the twists and turns of expectant parents' life—setting up the nursery, getting maternity leave approval, discussing it all with our 6-year-old, and maintaining a full-throttle work schedule. However, our excitement took an unexpected pit stop and shifted gears to anxiety and uncertainty.

A challenging incident brought us to the doors of our local pediatric emergency room, revealing the possibility that our baby would hit the track three months ahead of schedule, weighing in at just 3 pounds. With the pit crew at the hospital and dedicated visiting nurses, we were blessed to cross the finish line as parents again 9 weeks later, welcoming our second son.

Our medical race continued, facing challenges over the past 22 laps, but with each curve, our determination to give back and support others accelerated. Thus, Draf10 Motorsports Inc. ™ and the Draf10 Foundation were born, creating NASCAR's only not-for-profit race team.

Draf10 Motorsports started as a dream to support those who risk it all for strangers. Fueled by New York tenacity, we transformed this dream into reality, becoming NASCAR's first and only not-for-profit team. The goal is crystal clear—utilizing winnings from the racetrack and support from sponsors who share our mission, we aim to give back to the unsung heroes who selflessly protect us.

With family and friends in the FDNY, NYPD, and local volunteer departments, we understand the adrenaline rush every time our loved ones hit the asphalt. We know the anticipation, unsure if they'll cross the finish line unscathed. For Firefighters, Police Officers, and First Responders, it's not just a job; it's a calling—a call to assist strangers in their most daunting moments. We also recognize the ultimate sacrifices made for the communities they love, like the 343 FDNY members who raced into the unknown on 9/11.

Draf10 Motorsports refuses to let these heroes go unnoticed. We honor those lost in the towers, those succumbing to injuries and illnesses from the terror attack, and those we've lost since. Since our debut, we've formed alliances with like-minded NASCAR entities, creating a drafting pack of philanthropy.

For Draf10 Motorsports, racing is not just about taking the checkered flag. Fueled by our deep passion for NASCAR, we're on a mission to help others, one lap at a time.
